Introducing the award-winning Cool Weave Baselayer

Summer running may seem a distant memory now as we hurtle into the colder months, but Women’s Running Magazine has reminded us of those sunny days by announcing that our Cool Weave Baselayer has won an Editor’s Choice Award in their annual products hotlist.

‘This top is incredible, and it won’t let you down, even in variable weather. It’s made with EVACOOL fabric which prevents you from overheating and dropping performance in warmer conditions. This top has lots of tiny holes to transport your sweat away. It’s also a brilliant baselayer to wear in the cooler months for hiking and wild camping.’

Well, we aren’t going to argue! Everyone at Team Zerofit is delighted that one of our key running products has received such an endorsement, a testament to our brilliant designers and innovation team in Japan.

The Cool Weave baselayer (£50) is constructed using technologically advanced EVACOOL fabric which creates a cooling effect during exercise that prevents the athlete from overheating and dropping performance levels in warmer conditions. As the temperature increases, the Cool Weave’s water absorbing polymer shrinks to diffuse sweat quickly, promoting transpiration and thereby creating that cooling effect. It has been designed with less compression than the Thermo Weave and also works well for recreational, lower intensity training runs in temperatures of between 15°C and 35°C.

The unique warp knitted mesh structure helps to disperse sweat rapidly, leading to a dry feeling without a restriction of movement. Additionally, the arms and neck of the Cool Weave have a UPF50+ rating which offers up protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

It has been refined with a silver ion treatment which suppresses odour-causing bacteria, ensuring the products retain their newness wash after wash.
